Jazz classes to be established
Makeup Policy
o 24 hours notice required to reschedule
o Less notice will be taken under advisement for emergency reasons.
o If interested in a “Swap List” Please give name and number. A list will be made available.
o Payment will still be required if lesson missed without reasonable notice or cause
Practice
o Amount of practice desired will be determined by the age of the student
o Practice journal required at first lesson and will give list of weekly lessons, and space for student to write daily accomplishments and practice.
o A metronome is required for student's practice.
Prompt arrival is expected at every lesson
o Lesson length will not be made up
The parents will be asked to remain quiet during lessons
Parents should be sure that the student has clipped nails and clean hands before arriving at a lesson.
Students will be expected to take off all rings, watches, and bracelets.
o Objects around wrists and fingers impede blood flow to the fingers. This makes playing instruments more difficult.
A continued lack of preparation will result in the dismissal of a student
o Consultation with the parents
o Consultation with the student and parent
o Trial period allowing student the opportunity to correct behavior
